What to do when saying “I do”
So you’re getting married! But where do you even start with planning it? Well, after you’ve picked your venue and dress I’d say the next important stop is picking your hair stylist! So if you’re Staffordshire based that’d be ME (of course)!
Here’s a few things to take note of…
*Initial booking to secure the date
It’s a good idea to book a year in advance to make sure you get the date you want. Most stylists take a deposit to ensure that your wedding date will be saved just for you. Which is what I always do… it’ll give you peace of mind at least.
If you’re super organised and are booking it in more than a year in advance, then what I offer, if it suits, is to start seeing you up until your wedding day for your general cut and colours. That way we can get your hair exactly how you want it and in the best condition possible ready for your big day.
This also it gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and for me to understand your personal style. I find it makes the day even more special too.
Some people like to book in for a trial straight away, just to try out a few different looks. Which is great fun and totally exciting!
It’s always best to have already picked your dress at this point as it’s important for me to see a picture of it so I will know what shapes and styles will match the look.
It’s also a good idea to have a few pictures of hair styles that you like then I can create something bespoke for you based on what you like the look of.
I usually find a style that you’ll love on first the trial but you can have as many as you’d like on the build up to the wedding incase you change your mind or just want to try something different.
It’s completely up to you and your bridesmaids if they want to do this too. Having said this it is possible to create the look you’ll love on the day and I have done this on a few occasions.
I think it’s important to wear something in the hair to finish the style, it can be a small clip, diamond pins or a huge tiara! Whatever you like I can work into your hair.
It’s a good idea have these ready when doing your trial too so you’ll know how it will look on the day. If you haven’t chosen an accessory already we can discuss what we think will suit the style you choose, and of course if you’re planning to wear a veil as you walk down the aisle we can incorporate this into the style.
*This my bridal package…
Bride and bridesmaid hair trial session
£30 per hour for the bride and just £15 per bridesmaid if they wish to join in too
On the wedding day…
Mother of bride/groom £30

This whole process should and will be fun and exciting! We all know how stressful planning your wedding can be so let me find you the right look, personal to your own style, so you can relax knowing you’ll be as beautiful as you can be on your special day ❤️
